GLEN COVE, N.Y. — RXR Realty is developing The Beacon, a condominium project that’s part of the $1 billion Garvies Point development on 56 acres in Glen Cove. RXR Realty has unveiled a model residence for The Beacon, which will be the first condominium property scheduled to open at the project, and sales begin this month. Studio Grella is the design firm for the project. The Beacon will offer one-, two- and three-bedroom residences ranging from 897 to 2,052 square feet. The 167-unit property will be located near Glen Cove creek, Garvies Point Preserve and Long Island Sound. Amenities will include an outdoor pool, fitness center and yoga studio, library, lounge, club room, screening room and marina.

SAN ANTONIO — GBT Realty Corp. recently acquired a one-acre site in San Antonio for the development of South Park Commons, a 12,600-square-foot retail center. GBT purchased the property from Target for $925,000 on Feb. 21. The site is adjacent to Target’s SW Military Drive storefront in San Antonio. Construction of the center is underway with tenants expected to open in November. South Park Commons is currently 70 percent pre-leased to national names including AT&T, Aspen Dental, Firehouse Subs and GNC. Approximately 3,600 square feet of street-facing space is still available. Nearly 103,500 people with an average household income of more than $42,000 live within five miles of South Park Commons, according to GBT, a development company based in Brentwood, Tenn. Approximately 36,700 vehicles daily pass the San Antonio site in this retail corridor.

HINESVILLE, GA. — Hutton Contracting Co. has completed construction of Oglethorpe Square, a 158,000-square-foot shopping center located at 849 W. Oglethorpe Highway in Hinesville, a city about 40 miles southwest of Savannah. Dick’s Sporting Goods, TJMaxx and PetSmart are among the anchors of the 24-acre property. Oglethorpe Square is also home to several chain restaurants, including Longhorn Steakhouse, Panda Express and Chick-fil-A.

NORCOSS, GA. — Audubon Communities has unveiled Corners at Holcomb Bridge, a project that combines two neighboring multifamily properties into one apartment community at 301 Noble Forest Drive in the northern Atlanta suburb of Norcross. The merging of Highland Corners, a 252-unit property, and Silver Oaks, a 108-unit property, began with Audubon’s 2015 acquisition of the 37 acres on which the complexes reside. The company has since invested $4.5 million in renovations to the project. Upon completion, the Corners at Holcomb Bridge will feature a fitness center, two swimming pools and two new tennis courts.

PUEBLO, COLO. — Hutton has started construction of a new phase of Pueblo Crossing, a shopping center just south of Colorado Springs. The center is situated on North Elizabeth Street. A 35,000-square-foot Dick’s Sporting Goods will anchor the center, which will also feature a 10,000-square-foot Ulta store, a 5,000-square-foot Maurice’s clothing store and an outparcel building with additional retailers that haven’t yet been announced. The newest phase of Pueblo Crossing will be situated on 8.2 acres. It will sit adjacent to the newly opened Dillon Drive Interstate interchange and the Colorado Department of Transportation office, which is currently under construction. Hutton plans to deliver the first phase of the project early this spring.

LAS VEGAS — Alston Construction has completed the $7 million remodel of the International Game Technology (IGT) campus in Las Vegas. The campus is located at 6355 S. Buffalo Drive. The project included a complete remodel of a Class A, three- story office building that features high-tech capabilities and extensive security requirements. The work was finished in six phases to reduce the impact on the more than 700 employees that occupied the campus and were temporarily relocated during construction. Southwest Corporate Park owns the property. It was developed by Panattoni Development.

NEW YORK CITY — Blue Ribbon Federal Grill has opened on the ground floor of AKA Wall Street, an all-residential hotel located at 84 William St. in Manhattan’s Financial District. The 98-seat restaurant is located across the street from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York at the corner of Maiden Lane and William Street. The first Blue Ribbon Federal Grill opened its doors in 1992. Asfour-Guzy Architects designed the new Manhattan location.

EL SEGUNDO, CALIF. — NSB Associates has commenced construction on Ascend, an 80,000-square-foot creative office building in El Segundo. The property is situated at the Utah Avenue Campus. Legendary architect Frank Gehry will design Ascend. It will include customizable, creative workplaces with 24-foot clear-height ceilings, large glass panel walls, skylights and 16,000 square feet of private outdoor patio space for collaboration. The building sits on a podium over a covered parking structure. The building is near to the LA Metro Green Line and LAX. It is scheduled for occupancy in the fourth quarter of 2017. JLL’s Mike McRoskey, Blake Searles, Evan Moran and Jason Fine are leading the property’s leasing efforts.

FARMERS BRANCH, TEXAS — Centurion American Development Co. and the City of Farmers Branch have broken ground on Mercer Crossing, a $1 billion mixed-use development in Farmers Branch, a northern suburb of Dallas. Situated on 370 acres at the corner of Luna Road and Whittington Lane, the property will include more than 2,250 apartments, a 48-acre office park, hotel, amphitheater and retail space.

ATLANTA — Winter Construction has broken ground on a 266,000-square-foot hotel by Marriott, located on 14th Street near the intersection of Peachtree Street in Atlanta’s Midtown neighborhood. The hotel will be dual branded as AC Hotel, which will comprise 133 rooms, and Moxy Hotel, which will offer 155 rooms. The hotels will share several levels of parking and a rooftop pool and bar. Cooper Carry Inc. designed the $70 million project; Noble Investment Group is the developer.
