COLLEYVILLE, TEXAS — Snap Kitchen has signed a lease at the new 12,847-square-foot Colleyville Stampede shopping center development in Colleyville. The Austin-based retailer will occupy 1,305 square feet of space at 4712 Colleyville Blvd., Suite 140. Standridge Cos. is the developer of Colleyville Stampede. Snap Kitchen focuses on gluten-free, carb and sodium-conscious, nondairy, vegetarian, vegan and paleo diets. Tey Tiner of CBRE/UCR represented Standridge Cos. in lease negotiations. SAN ANTONIO — Newk’s Eatery’s franchise partner Stephen Kuehler will open three new restaurants in the San Antonio area. A Newk’s restaurant will open in New Braunfels at the corner of Town Center Drive and Creekside Way in the Town Center at Creekside. In addition, two more locations will open in north San Antonio and the surrounding area. The San Antonio and New Braunfels locations are part of Newk’s growth plans, which includes opening nearly 30 company-owned and franchised locations this year. The chain currently operates 77 units in 13 states, predominantly in the southeast.
PLANO, TEXAS — NAI Robert Lynn represented Altair Global in a 13,960-square-foot expansion deal for its corporate headquarters. Altair Global is a global assignment and relocation management company offering mobility solutions. Located at 7800 N. Dallas Pkwy. in Plano, the Class A office building allows Altair Global to expand its headquarters’ presence in the area. The office building is in close proximity to the company’s original headquarters building located at 7500 N. Dallas Pkwy. The new office provides access to the Dallas North Tollway and also is a short drive to The Shops at Legacy. THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS — Liberty Pipeline Services has expanded and relocated its offices from Spring to The Reserve at Sierra Pines in The Woodlands. Liberty increased the size of its space from 3,300 square feet to 9,313 square feet in the new Class A building, which is located at 1585 Sawdust Road. Ryan Dierker and Rob Banzhaf with Newcor Commercial Real Estate represented Liberty Pipeline Services in locating and negotiating the office space lease. DALLAS — Five new restaurant and retail additions have been made at Victory Park, the first wave of retail announcements in the Dallas district’s redevelopment. The new tenants bring more than 10,500 square feet of added retail, restaurant and service-related businesses to the district, which is being developed by Trademark Property Co. The new tenants include; BuzzBrews, a 4,612-square-foot restaurant opening its fourth Dallas location in the fall of 2015; Jimmy John’s, a 1,767-square-foot restaurant slated to open in spring 2015 at 2416 Victory Park Lane; Victory Park CrossFit, a 2,523-square-foot fitness center scheduled to open in spring 2015 at 2312 Victory Park Lane; Read Between the Lines, a 1,164-square-foot stationary store now open at 2412 Victory Park Lane; and Simply Elegant, a 474-square-foot floral design store now open at 2424 Victory Park Lane. In addition to these new tenants, Victory Park features more than 165,000 square feet of retail, restaurant and entertainment space. In addition, the district includes 621,000 square feet of Class A office space, the 252-room W Dallas – Victory Hotel, and more than 1,700 residential units.
DALLAS — The 90-room Hampton Inn & Suites Dallas Market Center, located at 3051 N. Stemmons Freeway in Dallas, is now open. U.S. Hospitality Management LLC manages the hotel. Hampton Inn & Suites Dallas Market Center is located near Dallas Love Field, Dallas Convention Center, American Airlines Center, Six Flags Over Texas and AT&T Stadium. Amenities at the hotel include Wi-Fi, a business center, fitness center and free hot breakfast. Guestrooms feature flat-screen televisions, a mini-refrigerator, microwave, work desk and lap desk. Suites are also available.
PROSPER, TEXAS — Dallas-based Tribute Senior Living will begin construction this spring on an advanced memory care and seniors living community at the corner of Preston Road and Broadway in Prosper, Texas. Upon completion in 2016, the 60,000-square-foot community will be home to 100 residents. “There are more than 5.2 million people living with Alzheimer’s disease in the United States,” says Charles Hodges, a partner with Tribute. “That number is expected to grow to more than 16 million by 2050. Those are very real numbers and when you also consider the family and friends touched by this horrible disease, we are talking about hundreds of millions of people affected in one way or another.” Sodalis Elder Living principal and Tribute Senior Living partner Mark Rushing will serve as the operating partner. The team has formally partnered with Dr. Paula Grammas, former executive director of the Garrison Institute on Aging and tenured professor of neurology at the Texas Tech University School of Medicine, to ensure that the communities utilize every environmental and care advantage in treating Alzheimer’s and dementia.
CEDAR HILL, TEXAS — Trademark Property Co., the operating partner for Uptown Village at Cedar Hill, has announced a multi-million dollar renovation of the 610,000-square-foot shopping center. The renovation includes a rebrand, enhanced entrances, upgraded landscaping, common area improvements, a new children’s play area, new amenities for adults and children and new signage throughout the property. After acquiring a minority interest in Uptown Village at Cedar Hill in the summer of 2014, Trademark conducted market research with research firm Alexander Babbage to gather information about the center’s shoppers, including demographics, trade area and what customers wanted. Uptown Village at Cedar Hill currently includes 350,000 square feet of specialty stores and restaurants, as well as 31,000 square feet of office space. The center has more than 65 tenants including Charming Charlie, Chico’s, Hollister, James Avery, Old Navy, Papaya, The Children’s Place and Victoria’s Secret. The anchor retailers are Barnes & Noble, Dillard’s and Dick’s Sporting Goods.
DALLAS — Solana Business Park has partnered with architecture firm 5G Studio Collaborative for the multimillion-dollar renovation of its 230-acre campus. Equity Office Properties, an affiliate of global asset management firm Blackstone Group, purchased the property in 2014 and will invest more than $50 million for upgrades., The Solana project team includes contractor Turner Construction and global commercial real estate company DTZ. Improvements at Solana will include renovations to a parking structure, wayfinding systems, interior and exterior areas, landscaping and to the retail amenities, including the 38,000-square-foot Larry North Fitness Center. Equity Office and 5G Studio will announce the first official designs for the development during the first quarter. Turner Construction will execute all capital improvements at the Solana campus. Turner is immediately breaking ground on a new structured parking garage at 1 E. Kirkwood. DTZ will manage the overall renovation process, will lease the office properties and provide property management services at the campus.
