AKRON, OHIO — Homewood Suites by Hilton has opened its newest property, Homewood Suites by Hilton Akron Fairlawn. The four-story hotel is the 15th Homewood Suites property in Ohio and the first in the Akron area. TMI Hospitality owns the hotel, which is located at 210 Springside Drive just off I-77 near downtown Akron. Nearby attractions include the Akron Zoo, Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens and the Akron Art Museum.

HOUSTON — Houston-based Boxer Property has completed property renovations at 1322 Space Park, a two-story office building spanning 123,089 square feet. The space was built in 1966 and is part of a three-building complex located in the heart of the Clear Lake submarket. The property has undergone interior and exterior renovations and the new space is also dog friendly. Amenities include a dog park, outdoor courtyards and sun-shaded seating.

FORT WORTH, TEXAS — Hillwood Properties has finalized an agreement with Dallas-based Entertainment Properties Group Inc. to develop PINSTACK, a 50,000-square-foot entertainment venue at Alliance Town Center in Fort Worth. The planned venue will include bowling lanes and a full-service restaurant and bar that can accommodate up to 2,000 guests. The venue will also include meeting spaces to align with corporate and business needs. PINSTACK is scheduled to open in early 2016 at the intersection of Hillwood Parkway and Heritage Trace Parkway.

KAUFMAN, TEXAS — Robert Faust Mortgage Co. has arranged a $2.8 million construction loan for the proposed Shops at Kings Fort in Kaufman. The 13,244-square-foot retail center will be located on 1.7 acres on the south side of Kings Fort Parkway. The location is just east of Old Kemp Highway and south of Highway 175. A Walmart opened adjacent to the site in April 2014. Tenants will include AT&T, Texas Dentistry, Roma’s Restaurant, Oasis Nails, Great Clips, Popcorn Paradise and Verizon Wireless. Jim Meara with The Meara Co. is the developer.

RICHARDSON, TEXAS — KDC has announced that Coal Vines, a fast-casual restaurant, will join CityLine, the company’s 186-acre mixed-use project in Richardson. The restaurant is scheduled to open in summer 2015.  The restaurant is an Italian bistro concept serving individual pizzas, salads, pastas and several whole wheat and gluten-free options. Coal Vines will be located on State Street near CityLine Plaza.

DALLAS — Hines and Cousins Properties Inc. have formed a joint venture to develop Victory Center in the Uptown Dallas submarket. The planned 23-story tower will include 466,000 square feet of office and retail space. Duda/Paine Architects will design the project, which will be built to LEED Gold standards. The 2.9-acre site is under contract and construction is expected to begin in mid-2015. Victory Center will be located just north of Hines’ One Victory Park office development, near the DART rail system, the Katy Trail, W Dallas Victory Hotel and American Airlines Arena.

The church will be moving from its current location in Coppell and building a new worship center to accommodate its growth. This is the 50th Homewood Suites in Texas. The property is located at 7221 Tres Hermanas Blvd. just off Highway 191 in Parks Legado Town Center. The hotel is located near the University of Texas of the Permian Basin, Midland International Airport and the Ector County Coliseum.

CINCINNATI — Village Green has purchased 309 Vine St. in downtown Cincinnati and plans to redevelop the 300,000-square-foot building into a mixed-use property. The redeveloped building is set to open under a new name in 2016. Plans for the property include the addition of luxury apartments, penthouses, a market, restaurant and offices. The 1920s era, Beaux–Arts commercial building was originally an annex to the PNC Tower. In the 1800s it was the site of The Burnet Hotel, known for hosting President-elect Abraham Lincoln on his inaugural journey to Washington D.C.

RICHARDSON, TEXAS — Chef Kent Rathbun’s Jasper’s “Gourmet Backyard Cuisine” restaurant concept will join CityLine, a 186-acre mixed-use project in Richardson. The restaurant is scheduled to open in summer 2015. KDC is the developer of the project. The restaurant will be located at the corner of Plano Road and State Street and features a casual design with a menu focused on America’s regional cuisine. Jasper’s will be open for lunch and dinner. The restaurant will include a boardroom and private dining rooms available for presentations, social events or business meetings. The Richardson location will also offer an outdoor dining area, bar and lounge.
