LEXINGTON, MASS. — Greatland Realty Partners has topped off Revolution Labs, a 180,000-square-foot life sciences project located in the northwestern Boston suburb of Lexington. Greatland is developing the project in partnership with Singerman Real Estate. SGA is the project architect, and Callahan Construction Managers is the general contractor. The development team began construction in late April 2021 and expects the building to be available for occupancy in the fourth quarter. The project also includes the development of a 442-space parking garage.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Boston-based developer CV Properties has completed the $55 million Aloft Providence Downtown Hotel. The hotel consists of 175 rooms and meeting spaces, a fitness center, grab-and-go food market, a lobby bar with patio seating and a rooftop bar with views of the downtown skyline. Elkus Manfredi Architects designed the project, and Shawmut Design & Construction served as the construction manager. Construction began in January 2020.
FRESNO, TEXAS — Houston-based Guefen Development Partners has acquired two parcels totaling roughly 40 acres in Fresno, located southwest of Houston, for the development of a 320-unit build-to-rent residential project. The tracts include a 30.3-acre parcel along Rabb Road and a 9.7-acre adjacent parcel fronting State Highway 6. Jason Scholtz of Colliers represented the family that sold the land to Guefen Development. A construction timeline was not disclosed.
TAMPA, FLA. — Altman Cos. has broken ground on Altís Grand at Suncoast, a 449-unit apartment community in Tampa. Rockpoint Group provided equity for the project, and PNC Bank provided debt. Construction is slated for completion by 2023. Altís Grand at Suncoast will offer one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans. Unit features include bathrooms equipped with dual sink vanities, a soaking tub, quartz countertops, 39-inch cabinets, frontload washers and dryers, stainless steel and energy-efficient appliances. Community amenities include a fitness center, Starbucks cyber cafe, multiple coworking lounges, wellness treatment room, pool, private conference room, game room, indoor air-conditioned dog grooming spa, a multipurpose trail, pet park, hobby/craft room and a 24/7 automated package pickup station. HIALEAH, FLA. — CBRE has arranged the sale of North Dade Distribution, a 16.5-acre industrial site under development in Hialeah. Dallas-based Dalfen Industrial purchased the site for $26.4 million. Christian Lee, Chris Riley, José Lobón, Amy Julian and Royce Rose of CBRE represented the seller, Coconut Creek, Fla.-based Butters Realty, in the transaction. Slated to be completed in March 2023, North Dade Distribution will total 298,354 square feet. The rear-load warehouse will feature 32-foot clear heights, a 120-foot truck court, 240-foot building depth, separate ingress and egress access for cars and trucks and an ESFR sprinkler system. Located on the corner of 97th Ave. and 165th St., the site provides access to Interstate 75 and the Florida Turnpike via NW 138th St.
Dermody Properties Acquires 961-Acre Land Parcel Near Phoenix for Industrial Development

EL MIRAGE, ARIZ. — Dermody Properties has purchased 961 acres of land in El Mirage, a suburb of Phoenix. The company plans to develop Copperwing Logistics Center, an industrial park with approximately 10 million square feet of speculative space over the next 10 years. Additionally, the company will develop approximately 300 acres for other third-party owners/users and build-to-suit customers. Initial development is slated to begin in 2022. Novo Development, which has been involved with the project since its inception, will continue to assist with the new venture. The land is being purchased from John F. Long Family Trust, known for developing more than 30,000 homes over four decades, including Arizona’s first master-planned community, before focusing efforts on retail and commercial projects in the West Valley Arizona market. Industrial zoning was already in place for the land. In addition, the property is within an approved Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ), meaning companies within the park that are active uses of FTZ can receive up to a 75 percent reduction in real estate and personal property taxes. HOUSTON — A partnership between Denver-based developer NexCore Group and North Cypress Land Ventures (NCLV), a group of physician investors, has opened Doctors’ Pavilion, a 112,505-square-foot medical office building in Houston. The four-story building is situated on a 4.7-acre site within the HCA Houston Healthcare campus on the city’s northwest side and will house an array of specialty medical practices. Construction began in summer 2020. In addition to retaining ownership, NCLV physicians will occupy space within the property.
PORTAGE, IND. — Dayton Street Partners LLC has purchased 42 acres in the Northwest Indiana town of Portage. The developer plans to build a 538,000-square-foot speculative industrial development known as DSP Crossroads Portage. Corey Chase and Chris Hill of Newmark represented the undisclosed seller, which sold three assembled land sites. Chase and Hill will also be retained to market the project for sale or lease.
PHILADELPHIA — Spark Therapeutics, a locally based firm that devises and delivers gene therapy solutions, will open a 500,000-square-foot life sciences facility in Philadelphia’s University City neighborhood, a project that represents a $575 million capital investment. The facility will be part of a 1 million-square-foot campus at the intersection of 30th and Chestnut streets. Spark Therapeutics has entered into a 99-year ground lease with Drexel University to develop the project. Construction is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2022.
LA CROSSE, WIS. — The Madison office of Kraus-Anderson (KA) is about to complete construction of the $42 million renovation and expansion of La Crosse Center. The civic center is located at 400 La Crosse St. in the western Wisconsin town of La Crosse. The center has remained open during construction, which is scheduled for completion by the end of the year. Designed by ISG Architects, the two-year renovation project expands the sports, entertainment and event center into 120,000 square feet of multipurpose space. There is a new 12,892-square-foot ballroom and 7,226-square-foot atrium along with seven meeting rooms and office space. The project also includes a rooftop terrace and a new lobby with a staircase to the ballroom level. KA renovated the existing arena with new seating; a higher-quality sound system; ADA-compliant platforms and railings; and upgraded and enlarged dressing rooms, locker rooms, restrooms and concession stands. In addition to sporting events and concerts, La Crosse Center will host weddings, conferences and trade shows.
