PHOENIX — Columbia Sussex Corp. has acquired the 353-room Phoenix Marriott Tempe at the Buttes hotel for an undisclosed sum. The recently renovated hotel is located at 2000 W. Westcourt Way. The property contains four dining facilities and 40,000 square feet of indoor meeting space, including a 25,000 square-foot conference space. The complex also includes a resort-style pool, lighted tennis courts, spa, fitness center, volleyball court and helipad. BIG RAPIDS, MICH. — NAI Wisinski of West Michigan has brokered the sale of Sattler Square, a 95,000-square-foot shopping center in Big Rapids, to a Cincinnati-based buyer. Sattler Square is located at 754 Perry Ave., between U.S. 131 and the campus of Ferris State University. The center, which is currently 96 percent occupied, is anchored by Tractor Supply and Big Lots and includes well-known brands such as Maurice’s, GNC, rue21 and H&R Block. NAI brokers Russ Bono and Cameron Timmer represented both the seller and buyer in the transaction.
AUBURN HILLS, MICH. — Colliers International has arranged a 35,000-square-foot industrial lease for Faurecia Interior Systems in Auburn Hills, about 33 miles north of Detroit. The manufacturing facility, located at 2325 Featherstone Road, will serve as a “pilot plant” for Faurecia, a Tier 1 automotive supplier whose North American headquarters is nearby. The property was previously occupied by Martinrea International Inc. as a warehouse for the manufacturing of automotive parts. Broker Michael Bennett of Colliers represented the tenant in the transaction.
UNIVERSITY CITY, MO. — Urban Sprouts, a local child development center, has acquired an office and warehouse space for $405,000 in University City, an inner-ring suburb of St. Louis. The property is located at 6757 Olive Blvd. The site was the former manufacturing space for McCarthy Spice & Blends. Renovation of the new Urban Sprouts building will take place in two phases and is slated for completion by August 2017. The first $2.2 million phase will include 11 classrooms with two art studio study rooms plus an interactive kitchen for cooking. The second $1.1 million phase will include classrooms for college-level courses that Urban Sprouts will host for St. Louis Community College. STAMFORD, CONN. — Colliers International has brokered the sale of an office building located at 750 E. Main St. in Stamford. Darien, Conn.-based Forstone Capital acquired the 103,367-square-foot office property for an undisclosed sum in an off-market transaction. The 10-story building features six floors of office space and four levels of structured parking. On-site amenities include food services, a fitness center, conference facility and security. Al Gutierrez, Enzennio Mallozzi and Cynthia Foster of Colliers represented the undisclosed seller and procured the buyer in the transaction.
PHILADELPHIA — HFF has arranged the sale of Lennox Apartments, a mid-rise apartment building located at 232-242 W. Walnut Lane in Philadelphia’s Mount Airy neighborhood. Premier Properties sold the 156-unit property to a New York-based private group for $12.7 million. At the time of sale, the studio, one-, and two-bedroom property was 94 percent leased. Carl Fieberg and Mark Thomson of HFF represented the seller in the deal. Additionally, James Conley of HFF secured $9.5 million in acquisition financing for the buyer, which purchased the property free and clear of existing debt.

WEST SPRINGFIELD, MASS. — Sentry Commercial has brokered the lease of an industrial facility located at 26 Sears Way in West Springfield. Global décor printing and impregnator company Suddekor LLC leased the 127,091-square-foot warehouse facility from Remeche LLC. Sentry Commercial represented the tenant, while the landlord was represented self-represented in the deal.
AUSTIN, TEXAS — Marcus & Millichap has arranged the sale of Super 8 Austin Airport South, a 37-room hotel located at 3120 Montopolis Drive in Austin. Allan Miller and Chris Gomes of Marcus & Millichap’s San Antonio and Dallas offices marketed the property on behalf of the seller, a partnership. Miller also secured the buyers, a limited liability company and private investor from New York. Michael Laurencelle and Tom Laurencelle of Marcus & Millichap Capital Corp.’s Austin office originated acquisition financing on behalf of the buyer.
ARLINGTON, TEXAS — Goodstar JV has sold a two-suite medical office building in central Arlington to a private investor. The 4,800-square-foot building is located on nearly a half acre at 1022 W. Mitchell St., just west of the University of Texas at Arlington. Wayne Burgdorf of Coldwell Banker Commercial Advisors DFW represented Goodstar JV, an entity owned by a group of retired dentists. Dr. Chia-Ming Lee, a dentist, occupies the smaller of the two suites. The larger space, totaling 2,700 square feet, is vacant and will be retooled to become general office space. The single-story building, developed in 1974, features 30 parking spaces. David Keal of Aubrey Keal Commercial Real Estate represented the local buyer.
FORT WORTH, TEXAS — JLL has brokered a 10,183-square-foot office lease on behalf of Cotten Schmidt & Abbott LLP. The Fort Worth-based law firm will be relocating to the top floor of the Pier 1 Imports Building located at 100 Energy Way. JLL’s Pat McDowell negotiated the lease on behalf of Cotten Schmidt & Abbott, and Todd Burnette, also of JLL, represented Pier 1 Imports.
