With a total of 206 apartment units, the Summer Glen Apartment complex was built in 1972 and renovated in 2000. LINDEN, N.J. — HFF has brokered the sale of Linden Commons, a 115,500-square-foot retail center situated on 10.7 acres at 1701 W. Edgar Road in Linden. Prestige Properties & Development acquired the asset from Lamar Cos. for $30.5 million. Built in 1955 and reconfigured in 2014, the property is fully leased to eight tenants, including Burlington Coat Factory, Blink Fitness, TJ Maxx, Buffalo Wild Wings and Sprint. Jose Cruz, Kevin O’Hearn, Chris Munley, Michael Oliver and Steve Simonelli of HFF represented the seller in the transaction.
EAST MEADOW, N.Y. — Breslin Realty has arranged a lease at 1740 Hempstead Turnpike in East Meadow for The Greene Turtle Sports Bar & Grille. The newly constructed 6,500-square-foot free-standing restaurant will be the franchise’s second Long Island location. The Greene Turtle Sports Bar & Grille offers American comfort food with an emphasis on local, regional and national sports. Judy Pascucci of Beslin Realty negotiated the lease transaction.
INDIANAPOLIS — Colliers International has brokered the sale of a 51,974-square-foot retail center in Indianapolis for $6.5 million. Pyramid Place Shops is located at 3450 W. 86th St. at the entrance of College Park Office Park. LNR Property LLC sold the retail center to Ziff Properties Inc. Tenants at the property include Einstein Bros. Bagels, Spherion Staffing, T-Mobile, Qdoba, Firehouse Subs, Skyline Chili and Georgia Reese’s. Alex Cantu of Colliers represented the seller in the transaction.
WHEELING, ILL. — CBRE has brokered the sale of an 83,787-square-foot industrial facility in Wheeling, approximately 30 miles northwest of Chicago. Orange Crush LLC purchased the asset from 571 South Wheeling Road LLC for an undisclosed price. The manufacturing building is situated on 4.3 acres and was formerly occupied by Main Steel LLC. Orange Crush plans to reposition the property, located at 571 Wheeling Road, to accommodate its business as a provider of road construction services and materials in metro Chicago. Ryan Bain, Zach Graham and John Maloney of CBRE were the sole brokers in the transaction.
MILWAUKEE, WIS. — Siegel-Gallagher has arranged a 5,362-square-foot office lease for The Benedict Center, an interfaith, nonprofit criminal justice agency in Milwaukee. The Benedict Center will lease space at The Ring Building, located at 1849 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. The landlord is 1849 MLK LLC. John Dulmes and Dan Walsh of Siegel-Gallagher represented the tenant in the transaction.
NEW YORK CITY — Avison Young has arranged the sale of Studio House, a 16-unit multifamily property located at 239 E. 77th St. on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Hanna Graham Associates acquired the asset from Boris Lurie Art Foundation for $7.5 million, or $1,042 per square foot. Neil Helman and Eric Karmitz of Avison Young represented both the buyer and seller in the transaction.
AUBURN, MASS. — Kelleher & Sadowsky Associates has brokered the sale of Laurel Hill Apartment Complex, located at 11 Whitney Circle and 1-17 Temple St. in Auburn. Micozzi Management Inc. acquired the property from Laurel Hill Realty Inc. for $3.9 million. The property features 44 two-bedroom/one-bath units and was fully occupied at the time of closing. Donald Mancini and Will Kelleher of Kelleher & Sadowsky brokered the transaction.
ENFIELD, CONN. — Colliers International has brokered the long-term lease of 102,000 square feet of industrial space at Enfield Distribution Center, located at 35 Manning Road in Enfield. Namco will occupy the space in the $2.6 million transaction. Nicholas Morizio of Colliers represented the undisclosed landlord, while Tim McNamara of SullivanHayes represented the tenant in the lease transaction.
DALLAS — Cornerstone RPC Storage Development, a joint venture between real estate development firms Rosewood Property Co. and Cornerstone Development, has begun construction on Phase II of a $75 million self-storage development plan. The firm will build three self-storage facilities in infill locations located in Dallas, Carrollton, Texas and Denver. Cornerstone has begun preparation to break ground on a 105,606-square-foot, 928-unit self-storage facility on the southeast corner of Maple Avenue and Butler Street in Dallas. Located in the Dallas Medical District, the facility is expected to open in the fourth quarter of 2016. In addition to the Dallas facility, Cornerstone plans to break ground on an 110,150-square-foot storage facility on E. Hebron Parkway in Carrollton. The 776-unit, multi-story facility will offer climate control in 94 percent of its units and is expected to open in the third quarter of 2016. The development company also closed on a property in metro Denver to develop an 116,325-square-foot self-storage facility. All three new developments will be managed by and branded Extra Space Storage.
