SMITHTOWN, N.Y. — Sovereign Realty Group has brokered the sale of a freestanding Burger King property located at 942 West Jericho Turnpike in Smithtown. Situated on 2 acres, the 3,610-square-foot property sold for $2.5 million. The property was formerly occupied by a Wendy’s and sat vacant for many years until a local Burger King franchisee signed a long-term lease for the property. Frank Caporrino and Clem Cote of Sovereign Realty Group represented the buyer and seller in the transaction. The names of buyer and seller were not released.
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS — Bill Bledsoe of Henry S. Miller Brokerage’s Investments and Land Division represented Classic Chevrolet in the purchase of 11.2 acres in Grapevine. Located off State Highway 121 at Stone Myers Parkway, the land will be used for business expansion. Bledsoe represented the buyer. TULSA, OKLA. — The SRS Southeast Investment Sales team has arranged the sale of a 53,210-square-foot property in Tulsa. The property, which is currently occupied by Virginia College, is located at 5124 S. Peoria Ave. The seller, OK Tulsa South Peoria LLC, sold the property to GPROP LLC for $8.8 million. Virginia College, a wholly owned subsidiary of Education Corp. of America, offers diplomas, associate’s degrees, bachelor’s degrees and master’s degrees. FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. — Stiles Realty, a division of Stiles, has brokered the $21 million sale of a vacant Class A office property located at 2100 W. Cypress Creek Road in Fort Lauderdale. The 185,000-square-foot building, which was the former headquarters of BankAtlantic, was the largest single-tenant building sold in the Cypress Creek submarket in the past five years, according to Stiles Realty. Kimberly Barbar of Stiles Realty represented the seller, BB&T, in the transaction. Barbar will also lease the office building on behalf of the new owner, Integra Investments LLC. The office building was designed to serve a single tenant and features on-site amenities such as a fitness center with showers, 250-seat cafeteria and a wellness center.
SAN FRANCISCO – Singapore-based specialty restaurant VeganBurg has announced plans to open its first U.S. restaurant in San Francisco. The plant-based burger restaurant will open at 1466 Haight Street this summer. The space was previously vacated by All You Knead. The company is evaluating plans for future sites across the country. VeganBurg was represented by John Polyzoides and Andrew Lindsey of SRS Real Estate Partners.
ONTARIO, CALIF. – Wohl Investment Company has acquired Airport Wineville Business Park, a 53,937-square-foot, mixed use industrial center in Ontario, for $4.5 million. The four-building park is located at 5140 E. Airport Drive and 151,181 and 201 S. Wineville Ave. Wohl was represented by Patrick Barnes of Colliers International. The seller was McLellan Estate Co.
GARDENA, CALIF. – Sator Sports has acquired a 19,650-square-foot industrial building in Gardena for $2.4 million. The building is located at 1455 W. 139th Street. The soccer equipment company will be relocating its headquarters from nearby 1536 228th Street. It should occupy its new space by mid-April. The new building will allow the company to expand. Sator Sports was represented by Matt Stringfellow and Courtney Bell of the Klabin Company/CORFAC International. The seller Major Fulfillment Inc., was represented by David Denitz of Gateway Business Properties.
MAGNOLIA, TEXAS — Colliers International has arranged the sale of 11 acres on Egypt Lane at Research Forest in Magnolia. Todd Edmonds and Michelle Soderberg of Colliers International represented the seller, I.A.B. Investments Inc., in the transaction. Egypt Land Developments LP was the buyer.
NEW YORK CITY — TerraCRG has arranged the sale of a development site located at 319 Schermerhorn St. in downtown Brooklyn. Adam American Real Estate and Naveh Shuster LTD purchased the site for $33 million from SC Nevins LLC. The buyer plans to develop a 21-story building on the site, which totals 87,445 square feet. The building will feature 73 residential condominium units in a mix of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom layouts, 3,100 square feet of retail space, a lounge, bike storage, a fitness center, a children’s playroom, a doorman and a courtyard.
