FULLERTON, CALIF. — Safeco has acquired 914 West Orangethorpe Ave., a 79,898-square-foot retail property occupied by Food 4 Less in Fullerton, for $22.5 million. Heslin Holdings Inc. and Becker Development had jointly owned the property. The Food 4 Less lease extends through March 2026.

NAPLES, FLA. — HFF has brokered the $74.4 million sale of a seven-building portfolio on 5th Avenue in Naples. The portfolio totals 122,276 square feet and comprises 73,523 square feet of street-level retail space, 48,753 square feet of office space and a 1.1-acre, 115-space parking lot at the corner of 4th Avenue and 4th Street. The buildings are 86.2 percent leased, in aggregate, to tenants including Wells Fargo Bank, TD Bank, TD Ameritrade, Berkshire Hathaway Real Estate, PNC Bank, SunTrust Bank, Starbucks Coffee, Tervis Tumbler and Provident Jewelry. Hoffman Commercial Real Estate purchased the assets free and clear of existing debt. Manuel De Zarraga, Daniel Finkle, Luis Castillo and Nat Scarmazzi of HFF represented the seller, Naples Fifth Avenue Holdings LLC, in the transaction. Rod Castan of Courtelis Co., which provided leasing and management services for Naples Fifth Avenue Holdings, assisted HFF in the marketing process.
SIERRA VISTA, ARIZ. — Friedman Integrated Real Estate Solutions, in a joint venture with its institutional equity partner, has acquired Plaza Vista Mall, a 227,110-square-foot retail power center located in Sierra Vista. The center is 95.8 percent occupied by tenants including Cal Ranch, Hobby Lobby, Marshalls, Dollar Tree, Cato, Payless ShoeSource, Ross Dress for Less and Sally Beauty.
LAKE FOREST, CALIF. — Lake Forest-based Del Taco is set to develop 27 new locations with three groups in central California. Three new locations are set to open within the next six months. Mike Sater, one of BP/Tesoro ARCO and AM/PM’s largest west coast franchisees, has signed a 20-store development agreement for six counties in the central valley. Sater’s first two Del Taco stores will open in Fresno and Clovis, with a third planned for Merced.
GAHANNA, OHIO — Marcus & Millichap has arranged the sale of a 19,910-square-foot medical office property in Gahanna, a Columbus suburb. The Stonybrook Medical Center sold for $3.8 million. John P. Reehil of Marcus & Millichap represented the undisclosed seller. Michael Barron, Dan Burkons, Josh Wintermute, Richard Lattro and Jordan Marshall represented the undisclosed buyer. The property, located at 5175 Morse Road, is 77 percent occupied. Tenants include Ohio State University Otolaryngology, COPCP, Smith Facial Plastics and Advanced Dental.
WAUKESHA, WIS. — The Dickman Company Inc. / CORFAC International has brokered the sale of a 74,600-square-foot industrial property for an undisclosed price. The building is located at 809 Philip Drive in Waukesha, approximately 20 miles west of Milwaukee. JDS Leasing LLC sold the building to GRE-Milwaukee LLC for an undisclosed price. Samuel Dickman, Samuel Dickman Jr. and Zach Noble of The Dickman Co. represented the buyer. Roger Siegel of JLL represented the seller.
MIDLOTHIAN, ILL. — Cooper Commercial Investment Group has brokered the sale of a 60,392-square-foot retail center located in Midlothian, a suburb 20 miles southwest of downtown Chicago. The multi-tenant Mid Oak Shopping Center sold for $5.1 million. The facility is anchored by Charter Fitness and shadow anchored by Walgreens. Dan Cooper of Cooper Commercial Investment represented the undisclosed seller. The buyer was also undisclosed. Mid Oak Shopping Center was 74 percent occupied at the time of sale.
NEW YORK CITY — Cushman & Wakefield has brokered the sale of a mixed-use loft building located at 9 E. 16th St. in the Ladies’ Mile Historic District of Manhattan. The seven-story, elevator-serviced building sold for $30 million, or $978 per square foot. The 30,680-square-foot property features 15 large loft units, of which 12 are fair market and three are rent stabilized, and one ground-floor commercial unit, which is currently occupied by a restaurant. Paul Smadbeck, John Ciraulo, Rob Stufano and Craig Waggner of Cushman & Wakefield brokered the all-cash transaction. The names of the seller and buyer were not released.
SPARTANBURG, S.C. AND ATLANTA — Dallas-based Covington Group Inc. and its affiliates have sold more than 900,000 square feet of industrial property in Spartanburg and Atlanta. The real estate development and investment firm sold the 240,000-square-foot Logistics Pointe: Spartanburg to Austin, Texas-based AIC Ventures. Grice Hunt of NAI Earle Furman represented Covington in the sale. Covington also sold the 657,000-square-foot Logistics Pointe: Atlanta to an affiliate of San Francisco-based Glen Una Management. The former SUPERVALU grocery distribution center was 95 percent leased at the time of sale. Brian Budnick of CBRE Capital Markets Atlanta represented Covington in the transaction. The sales prices for both transactions were undisclosed.
PICKERINGTON, OHIO — Marcus & Millichap has arranged the sale of a 12,539-square-foot medical office building for $4.4 million in Pickerington, a Columbus suburb. Scott Niedergang and Gino Lollio of Marcus & Millichap represented the seller, Stage Equity Partners LLC. Charlie Hampton III of Marcus and Millichap represented the undisclosed buyer in the transaction. Pediatric Associates is the tenant.
