SCOTTSVILLE, KY. — Legacy Realty Group Advisors has brokered the sale of Scottsville Shopping Center, a 31,800-square-foot retail center located at 1224 Gallatin Road in Scottsville, a city in southern Kentucky near the Tennessee border. The center sold for $3 million in the off-market transaction. Food Lion anchors the property. Jacob Baruch and Jonah Warshaw of Legacy Realty represented both the buyer and seller in the transaction, both of which requested anonymity.

MADISON, WIS. — Whole Foods Market will open a 50,000-square-foot store in Madison on Wednesday, Dec. 13. The new store at 4710 Madison Yards Way replaces an existing Whole Foods Market at 3313 University Ave. that had served the community since 1996. The new store anchors the 21-acre Madison Yards mixed-use development, which features retail, restaurant and entertainment space surrounding a central green plaza. The store will feature more than 800 local items from the Midwest.
COLUMBUS, OHIO — Victoria’s Secret has opened its newly renovated store at Easton Town Center, a shopping destination in Columbus. The “store of the future” concept aims to create a more welcoming space for all shoppers with mannequins representing a range of sizes, inclusive product offerings and an easy-to-navigate layout. The store also features more efficient lighting and HVAC systems along with low-flow toilets. New fitting room technology, Crave, links each product with the store’s computer system through radio frequency identification tags. The technology enables customers to communicate with store associates from their fitting rooms.
HENDERSON, NEV. — CTO Realty Growth has sold Eastern Commons, a 129,600-square-foot shopping center located in Henderson, roughly 15 miles southeast of Las Vegas. An undisclosed buyer acquired the property for $18.2 million. The seller plans to utilize proceeds from the sale for a 1031-exchange transaction.
MONTGOMERY, ILL. — Starbucks and Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant are the latest tenants to join Ogden Hill Shopping Center in Montgomery, just south of Aurora. Both tenant build-outs are under construction and are scheduled to open in mid-2024. Starbucks will feature a drive-thru on the eastern side of the center in front of Menards. Cooper’s Hawk will be positioned on the western side of the center. Inland National Development Co. LLC owns the shopping center, which is situated on 67 acres.
OCEANPORT, N.J. — Baseline Social, a bar, restaurant and entertainment concept, has opened a 17,100-square-foot venue in Oceanport, located in Monmouth County. Situated within The Commissary at Baseline, the space features a 640-foot LED viewing wall, 38-seat platform lounge and 3,700-square-foot entertainment section with five virtual golf bays. Other tenants at the property include Birdsmouth Beer and MGT Foods. Denholtz Properties is the developer and landlord at The Commissary.
MOBILE, ALA. — Topgolf has opened a new venue in Mobile, marking the third in Alabama for the Dallas-based brand. Situated within McGowan Park Shopping Center, the venue features 60 outdoor climate-controlled hitting bays across two levels, as well as a full-service restaurant, 22-foot video wall and more than 100 TVs. According to the company, Topgolf Mobile will employ roughly 200 associates and is the 95th outdoor Topgolf venue in the country.
DELRAY BEACH, FLA. — Sarasota, Fla.-based Benderson Development has acquired Linton Commons, an 85,000-square-foot shopping center located in Delray Beach, a city in South Florida’s Palm Beach County. Tenants at the property include RH Outlet, Guitar Center, PetSmart, Chipotle Mexican Grill and AT&T. Matt Berres, Samer Khalil and Karick Brown of Newmark represented the undisclosed, privately held seller in the transaction. The Newmark team also procured Benderson as the buyer in cooperation with Newmark’s Bert Sanders. The sales price was not disclosed. Benderson’s portfolio in the state also includes a freestanding Publix in Pompano Beach, which was acquired in August, and a Publix-anchored shopping center in Englewood.
MESA, ARIZ. — A joint venture that Crow Holdings Capital manages has purchased The Shops at Sossaman, a neighborhood shopping center in Mesa. Abington Emerson Investments sold the asset for $8.1 million. Built in 2002, The Shops at Sossaman features 34,151 square feet of retail space. At the time of sale, the property was fully occupied by a variety of tenants, including Banner Health Physical Therapy, East Valley Pet Urgent Care, Empower Academy and Crave Pizza. The asset is located at 7641 E. Guadalupe Road. Steve Julius, Jesse Goldsmith and Chase Dorsett of Newmark represented the buyer and seller in the deal.
MARANA, ARIZ. — Gantry has secured a $7.8 million permanent loan to refinance 26,387 square feet of retail space within The Shoppes at Continental Ranch at 9110-9150 Silverbell Road in Marana, a suburb of Tucson. Tony Kaufmann and Alex Poulos of Gantry arranged the financing for the borrower, a California-based retail developer. The 10-year permanent loan features a fixed rate locked at application and a 30-year amortization schedule. The retail space includes an inline strip and four pad buildings. An independently owned Safeway grocery store shadow anchors the property. Current tenants include a mix of national and local dining, professional services and essential retailers.
