The sale covers six parcels, including two new advanced manufacturing facilities, totaling 80 acres. The news outlet also reported the buyer secured an acquisition loan from Bank of America totaling $111.1 million. In December, the seller, affiliates of Starwood Capital Group and Trinity Capital Advisors, signed a nearly 1.3 million-square-foot lease with Millennium Print Group for 20 years, with a 20-year renewal option. Doug Cook of Cushman & Wakefield arranged the lease. The tenant is a subsidiary of The Pokemon Co. International and produces Pokemon playing cards. The company plans to occupy more than 400,000 square feet of existing space and a new ground-up building totaling 866,000 square feet that will deliver in 2027, according to a December press release from Trinity Capital. Triad Business Journal reports that the status of the construction and upfit for Millennium Print is “unclear” in light of the ownership change.

The new factory will focus on the production of medicines for oncology and neurological diseases. The development is expected to create up to 500 new jobs and represents the second major investment in Wilson County for Johnson & Johnson. In October 2024, the company announced a $2 billion manufacturing campus that would support 420 jobs. That facility is currently under construction, and Johnson & Johnson has begun hiring advanced manufacturing positions. Additionally, Johnson & Johnson announced last year a $2 billion biopharmaceutical manufacturing facility in nearby Holly Springs, N.C. Civic partners on the new factory in Wilson includes the North Carolina Department of Commerce, the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina, the North Carolina General Assembly, the North Carolina Biotechnology Center, the North Carolina Community College System, the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality, Wilson Community College, the BioPharma Crescent, Wilson County, the Wilson Economic Development Council and the City of Wilson.

The space will span the first and second floors 2300 Market Street, an eight-story, 223,000-square-foot building located roughly midway between the University City and Center City districts. Breakthrough Properties, which is a joint venture between New York City-based Tishman Speyer and biotechnology investment firm Bellco Capital, owns 2300 Market Street, and the facility will be known as Lilly Gateway Labs at Breakthrough. An opening date has not yet been announced.

The $100 million, 163,000-square-foot redevelopment project is located in the Central West End of St. Louis and includes the renovation of the 120,000-square-foot, seven-story former headquarters of MERS Goodwill Industries at 4140 Forest Park Blvd. Tarlton will restore the building, which was occupied by MERS Goodwill Industries from 1944 to 2019. The building was originally constructed for Standard Sanitary Manufacturing Co. and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The project also includes the construction of a new 50,000-square-foot, four-story addition. Three new elevators will access laboratory and office spaces. The ground-floor lobby will feature a coffee bar and common meeting spaces. HOK is the project architect.

Ypsomed plans to customize Building H to be operational in 2027.

The Bolt is being developed on a speculative basis and is expected to be responsible for the creation of about 300 new jobs. Jacobs designed the project, and John Moriarty & Associates is serving as the general contractor. Cushman & Wakefield is the leasing agent. Kawa provided $79 million in construction financing for the project, which is expected to be available for occupancy by the second quarter of 2027.

In addition to the Elkton plant, Merck has announced nearly $6 billion in manufacturing investments in North Carolina, Delaware and Kansas, as well as $3.5 billion for its Rahway, N.J., headquarters.

The active pharmaceutical product (API) facility, which represents the second of four new U.S. sites that Lilly plans to announce this year, will be used to manufacture the company’s pipeline of small molecule medicines across therapeutic areas, including cardiometabolic health, oncology, immunology and neuroscience. The project is expected to be operational within five years. Lilly plans to bring 615 new, high-wage jobs to the greater Houston area, including engineers, scientists, operations personnel and lab technicians. The company also expects to generate 4,000 construction jobs as the project is built. The master developer of EastVillage, Buffalo-based Reger Holdings, has partnered with San Francisco-based Tarlton Properties to develop the facility, which is expected to support the creation of about 1,000 new jobs. (TCC) have inked a new lease expansion with the University of Chicago at Hyde Park Labs in Chicago. The private research university will occupy more than 155,000 square feet and is expected to move into its new space by the second quarter of 2026. The announcement was made at the grand opening of Hyde Park Labs and UChicago’s Science Incubator on Tuesday, Sept. 16. The university’s new space, including 101,199 square feet across the building’s top three floors, will support research initiatives in areas such as cancer, metastasis, biochemistry and molecular biology. UChicago’s original lease included space for faculty research and the new incubator, which is a partnership between the Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation and Portal Innovations. Six UChicago-affiliated companies are among the incubator’s first tenants: memQ, Exactics, Signl, Cell Therapy, ZipBionexus Tech and Neuro Innovations.
